House Haunted?
The Legal Stuff...
Before getting started, we have to get to some legal stuff out of the way…
Are Ghosts Real?
Do you believe in the supernatural, paranormal, spirits, or ghosts? Have you had an experience that may have momentarily made you pause and question it? A feeling of uneasiness? A sense of being watched while alone? Knowing you placed an item in one place, only to go get said item and find it in another place…or not at all? What did you do? How did you react? Did you listen to your gut or brush it off as nothing?
We both have experienced all the above, especially in the house we reside in now, and then some.
When we first moved into the house, it was ok, except for our daughters’ room. There was something about the closet that made me uneasy. I felt a negative energy and as though I was being watched, especially at night. I never went in there alone at night. We have two daughters, so both were usually in there, especially at night.
One day, our youngest daughter was dancing to an XBOX360 Kinect game and it picked up a hand that wasn’t hers. Creepy, right? Well, we have plenty more occurrences.
We have heard, what sounded like a pebble or small rock, hit our wall and, of course, no one threw one and there wasn’t a rock recovered, nor do we keep rocks in the house. Items have been moved, knocked off surfaces, misplaced to be never be found.
We hear voices unfamiliar to us and have heard our children when they weren’t home. I have smelled perfume that I don’t wear, cologne – Josh doesn’t wear cologne because he tends to get migraines from the scents.
We have had electronics turn on and off, doors open and close, loud banging sounds, knocks, and thuds.
I have been touched, shirt tugged, butt literally grabbed, seen two shadow figures, and a low shadow; I thought it was our cat and she wasn’t in there. Today, we were having breakfast and I moved my hand quickly because I saw a shadow down beside me. Again, I thought it was our cat and nothing was there. She was in her favorite spot on the back of the couch.
We, ourselves, have had a nonvisible dancing participant on a dancing game we were doing. This “being” scored more points than me! If you are unfamiliar with Kinect, it picks up your body and body points, then follows your movements to score you on your moves. You have to stand so far away and it picks up your image. For our third player, the Kinect was pointing at the top of our door frame for this image, while the other two images were mine and Josh’s. That was crazy.
Recently, our TV was acting weird. It was as if someone was trying to decide what to watch and messing with the remote. The remote was on the arm of the couch. I was in our bedroom and Josh happened to be passing through the living room and saw it.
I’m not scared. I get a little anxious and I don’t like being touched. We plan on doing an investigation in our home.
